Pelican Bay Restaurant & Bar (Royal West Indies Resort, Grace Bay Road, Providenciales) – another restaurant that received accolades from TripAdvisor.com, the dishes served here include Jerk Cornish Game Hen, Hog Snapper, Butter Poached Lobster Tail, and Fresh Caicos Lobster Salad (a result of the chef’s efforts to combine Caribbean, European and Asian influences).

Parallel 23

Parallel 23 (Regent Palms, Grace Bay, Providenciales) – for those who want something different from outdoor dining, this restaurant offer indoor seating. The dishes served here are mostly tropical fusion specialties.

Opus

Opus (Ocean Club Resort, Providenciales) – this is another seafood-centric restaurant. There’s also a decent wine list. Live musical guests help liven things up here.

Mango Reef

Mango Reef (The Alexandria Resort, Grace Bay Road, Providenciales) – this restaurant is outside the chain of seaside restaurants most diners here flock to. In fact, many of the diners are major league locals who are content with ordering seafood-centric dishes (including conch – of course). Along with such items for dinner, Mango Reef also serves panini, wraps, fajitas, burgers, and sandwiches during lunchtime.

Lemon

Lemon (The Village at Grace Bay, Providenciales) – the restaurant, which received accolades from TripAdvisor.com, took its own approach in diversifying the cuisine at Grace Bay by serving what it calls “exotic Mediterranean” food – which really means Moroccan. Along with the Tagines (slowly-cooked stews) expected from such restaurants, along with salads and tapas dishes, the restaurant also throws in belly dancers as a after-dinner treat.

Las Brisas Restaurant

Las Brisas Restaurant (Neptune Villas, Chalk Sound Road, Chalk Sound, Providenciales) – another cuisine little found in these islands (despite its relative geographic proximity to the Dominican Republic) is Spanish cuisines (that is, food from Spain, as opposed to Latin America). Here, not only tapas are served, but paella as well. Of course, the picture-postcard views from this restaurant are another selling point.

Garam Masala

Garam Masala (The Regent Village, Grace Bay, Providenciales) – this restaurant already succeeds among diners in offering something rarely duplicated in these islands: Indian cuisine. Open for lunch & dinner, it serves a variety of dishes from northern India. Credibility was aided by the restaurant’s genuine charcoal Tandoor oven. Vegetarian and Vegan dishes offered here, too.

Coyaba Restaurant

Coyaba Restaurant (Bonaventura Crescent, by Caribbean Paradise Inn, Grand Bay, Providenciales) – the chef here has a famous name (Paul Newman), who makes a range of entrees, from Oven Roasted Tandoori Marinaded Fillet Of Mahi Mahi, to Jerk Wellington Freebird Chicken Supreme – in his successful effort to offer dishes distinguishable from nearby gourmet restaurants. The outdoor dining area stands out as well.

Coco Bistro

Coco Bistro (Grace Bay Road – next to Sunshine Nursery, Grace Bay, Providenciales) – this restaurant, whose executive chef & owner Stuart Gray serves a variety of gourmet dishes from roast rack of Colorado lamb, to soft-shell-crab tempura, created a buzz some years back when it turned away Hollywood celebrity Bruce Willis for not having a reservation (regardless of the fact that he’s a villa owner on the island). Such press could only be positive in this competitive dining scene. As Bruce Willis learned the heard way, reservations are strongly recommended.

Caicos Café

Caicos Café (Caicos Café Plaza, Grace Bay Road, Grace Bay, Providenciales) — the restaurant offers a variety of Mediterranean specialties, along with house pastas, tasty barbecued meats, and delectable locally-made desserts. Seafood also figures prominently in the menu, such as conch Creole, shrimp Caicos (spicy jumbo shrimp served with a seafood risotto and veggies), and seafood gumbo (shrimp, lobster, scallops, fish, mussels, with tomato and vegetables).
